I came across this super cool cardboard table while browsing on Pinterest. My structure design experience had been limited to packaging and displays until then, so I decided to recreate the design just for the challenge of figuring out how to make it.
After a couple failed attempts to figure out the math and curves of each piece individually, I moved to Fusion 360 and designed the shape in 3D. I had never used a 3D modeling software before and had a blast learning how to use it. When I was happy with the shape, I converted the design into 2D pieces using a slicer tool.
I cut the pieces from 44C Kraft corrugated board on our Elitron SDC cad cutting table at work.
